The House did not have enough votes to end marijuana prohibition in 2016. The Legislature adjourned in early May, but the House and Senate did agree to have a committee continue studying the issue this summer and fall. We will be publishing a detailed voter guide this summer so Vermonters will know where candidates on their ballot stand on marijuana policy. Stay tuned!

Today, the Vermont Senate Appropriations Committee voted 4-3 to approve S. 241, a bill that would end marijuana prohibition for adults and create a regulated and taxed system for marijuana production and sale.
